Stop complaining

If there is one thing I can say with certainty, then it is that we have no reason whatsoever to complain about anything. I am guilty of this and it concerns me just how much the average person complains in a day.

So how dare I say we do not have any reason to complain? How do I know what situation you are in? Well simple. I do not know, but I have seen quite a bit of harshness dealt to people in life to know that there is always someone that is worse off than you.

You might complain that you hate your job. The man that got retrenched just realised he lost his job. You might be too lazy to wake up and get started for the new day ahead. The man that is terminally ill thanks God he has another day. You might complain about the political situation in your country, but at least you do not have to go to work holding a gun and rocket launcher in your hands.

We can go on and on about the complaints. Just always remind yourself that there are people that are in a way worse situation than what you are. Complimenting is always harder than complaining but it affects people in a very powerful, positive way.

Obstructed view

Average is an statement that depicts the majority and undermine the minority. Average is reminiscing about who you want to be but who you realy are. We all strive to escape this life and succeed. A dream of flying high above, but alas we forget that when wings get clipped they never fly again. The take off is the crutial part. Flying is easy. You conform to the work ethics and norms of your life. Very little strive to better themselves. Limited by a vision restricted by eyeflaps. Obstructed view disables your potential to grow. You are crammed in a bottle and growth has been stunted.

How sad is it to be the commoner
How good is it to be the minority

To be rich and famous is bliss
But to be who you want to be is perfection at its pinnacle
We are who we are and evolution stands still with our generation? Eyes a question and not a statement that is regarded as a conflicting answer. I am the better part of yesterday and i will be the best tomorrow.
We curse the rain but do we know drought?

Black or white?

There is no such thing as being colour blind when it comes to the human race. We all have some form of prejudice.  How do you convert something that is in colour into black and white? It is impossible or should I say that it loses its efficacy.

You might presume that I am talking about race but the only race I am discussing here is the human race. I would like to think of all of us as exactly the same when it comes to equality of living life and having the same human rights as one another. A president might not be racist but he is still not colour-blind in many aspects. More privileges apply to him and thus that makes him above certain people.

I think I am jumping the gun here. Let me put it like this. Although the most common form of discrimination is through race (you are either white or black), but what about rich and poor? Or educated and non-educated?

There are many groups that we can be categorised in that make us either white or black, but it is impossible to draw the line as what we anticipate to do in theory. You can lift yourself out of poverty and become rich, but you can remain humble and thus you cannot be classified as the rich class because you still act humble. It is a fact that the majority of rich and wealthy people do become snobs and would like to think that they are above the rest.

People will always compare themselves and would always want to disassociate themselves with either black or white groups.

Let’s take a look at religions. Black and white becomes even more of a sensitive factor when you add religion. Where do you draw a line? Do you not cover your head but you refuse to eat pork? Do you smoke but refuse to swear?

How would you print a colour word on white paper in black and white? There would be only one way. Full black print. But then would you not lose the effect that colour would give to enhance the word? Greyscale is the better option but then it can’t be said that it is a black and white print.

This subject can be broken down into more detail but I think you grasp the gesture that lingers behind this piece today. Grey is the only colour we as humans know.

Life is grey. Not black, not white, but a mixture of both blended to form the perfect image that represents us.
